Dracula

Count Dracula is a vampire. He drinks people's blood. He lives in a lonely castle in the mountains of Transylvania. but then he comes to England. Professor van Helsing knows about vampires, but can he stop Dracula.       I don’t understand why Mina loved Count Dracula so that she saved him to lay down her life. I thought the reason is that she also love him in her former life or she was spelled his charm. This book was interesting for me, but it is not so easy to understand the whole story.

Sweet Valley High School

Jessica wanted to be dance queen more than anything in the world and when she wanted something, she usually got it. But Bruce Patman was more difficult. Jessica was in love with Bruce and he was the only boy for her. but he didn't want Jessica.      Jessica is aiming for dance queen, and hopes that Bruce, who has a crush on him, will become a Dance King, and that the distance between them can be shortened. But Elizabeth's best friend Enid and his Ronnie are strong rivals.  I make various arrangements so that I cannot come to the party.  It's quite muddy.  The characters are also complicated, so it's better to read at a stretch within 2 days.

My Fair Lady

When Professor Higgins meets Eliza Doolittle he understands that it is her strong London accent that will always keep her in the street. In this wonderful story about two very different people, Higgins decides to teach Eliza to speak English without her accent.       Eliza Doolittle is a poor flower-seller in Victorian London who has a very strong London accent. Professor Higgins chooses her for an experiment. He decides to teach her to speak like an upper class lady but things don’t happen exactly as he plans. This wonderful story was first a play called “Pygmalion” by the famous writer George Bernard Shaw.  Sparkling with wit, wisdom and wonderful songs including, "I Could Have Danced All Night", "Wouldn't It Be Loverly" and "Get Me To The Church On Time", the musical play has been delighting audiences since it was first performed in the 1950s. When overbearing Professor Higgins stumbles on flower girl, Eliza Doolittle, in Covent Garden he rec

Black Beauty

“Always be good, so people will love you. Always work hard and do your best.”       These were the words of Black Beauty’s mother to her son when they lived with Farmer Grey. But when Black Beauty grew up and his life changed, this was sometimes very difficult for him. Not everybody was as kind as Farmer Grey.      Black Beauty works hard for his owners, who are sometimes cruel, sometimes kind, sometimes rich, sometimes poor.       This book told me how horses feel about their lives or it is important that to put myself in their position through Black Beauty’s life.

David and the Great Detective

David dreams of becoming a great detective, like David Delgado, his hero. When thieves take Jack’s bike David decides to help him to get it back. He is called, “Dave the Dreamer” by his classmates , Jack and his gang.  When David were going back to his home from school, he met Jack. Jack said his bike wasn’t anywhere. David decided to help looking for Jack’s bike. Then, the boys’ adventure began.      I really enjoyed this book, because it is a lot of fun to read. The story was very exciting and told me that how it is important to have courage and help friends.

Phycho

"Money can't buy happiness, but it can stop unhappiness. "      I was so impressed by this  sentence. I have seen this movie before. So it is easier for me to understand how the story goes. I think Norman was a sad person who loved his dead mother bottom of his heart and kill people visited their motel so that any other people can't be close to them.

The Happy Prince and The Nightingale and the Rose (long ver.)

All day long he flies, and at night-time he arrives at the city. "Where can I stay?" he asks. Then he sees the statue on the tall column "I can stay there," he says. "It is in a good position, with lots of fresh air." And he sits between the feet of the Happy Prince. "I have a golden bedroom," he says as he looks around. He to go to sleep. He puts his head under his wing prepares when a large drop of water falls on him. "What a strange thing! There is not a cloud in the sky, the stars are shiny and bright, but it is raining. The weather in the north of Europe is really bad." Then another drop falls. "This statue is not useful. It does not keep the rain off," he says.  And he decides to fly away. But before he flies away a third drop falls. He looks up. What does he see? The eyes of the Happy Prince are full of tears, and tears are running down his golden cheeks. His face is so beautiful in the moonlight that the little Swallo

A Christmas Carol (long ver.)

"A Merry Christmas, Uncle!" cried a happy voice. It was Scrooge's nephew.  "Bah!" said Scrooge. "Humbug !" "Christmas a humbug, Uncle!" said Scrooge's nephew. "You don't mean that, I'm sure." "I do," said Scrooge. "Merry Christmas! What reason have you got to be merry? You're poor." "OK, then," replied his nephew cheerfully. "What reason have you got to be sad? You're rich. Don't be cross, Uncle!" said his nephew. "What else can I be," replied Scrooge. "I live in a world of fools. Merry Christmas! What's Christmas time to you? It's a time for paying bills without money. It's a time for finding yourself a year older, but no richer. Every fool who says 'Merry Christmas'," said Scrooge, should be boiled with his own Christmas pudding. Then he should be buried with a stake of holly through his heart!" "Uncle!" begged th

The Stolen White Elephant (long ver.)

He picks up a candle and walks down into the basement of the building. Sixty detectives always sleep here, and a group of them are playing cards when we come into the room. I follow him as he walks quickly to the far end of the basement. It is dark and frightening and there is a very bad smell. I feel sick and want to go back. Suddenly Inspector Blunt falls over a large object shouting as he falls: "Hurry for the police force! Here is your elephant!" Someone carries me to the office above, where I come to my senses once more. The complete detective force arrives and the celebrations begin. Reporters arrive and detectives open bottles of champagne and shake hands and talk enthusiasticaly. Naturally the chief is the hero and his happiness is complete. I am happy for him although now I am a homeless beggar, my elephant is dead, and I have no job. Many people congratulate the chief and many detectives say, "Look at him, the king of the force; there isn't anything that he
