"A Merry Christmas, Uncle!" cried a happy voice. It was Scrooge's nephew."Bah!" said Scrooge. "Humbug !"
"Christmas a humbug, Uncle!" said Scrooge's nephew. "You don't mean that, I'm sure."
"I do," said Scrooge. "Merry Christmas! What reason have you got to be merry? You're poor."
"OK, then," replied his nephew cheerfully. "What reason have you got to be sad? You're rich. Don't be cross, Uncle!" said his nephew.
"What else can I be," replied Scrooge. "I live in a world of fools. Merry Christmas! What's Christmas time to you? It's a time for paying bills without money. It's a time for finding yourself a year older, but no richer. Every fool who says 'Merry Christmas'," said Scrooge, should be boiled with his own Christmas pudding. Then he should be buried with a stake of holly through his heart!"
"Uncle!" begged the nephew.
"Nephew!" replied Scrooge, "celebrate Christmas in your own way, and let me celebrate it in mine."
"Celebrate it!" repeated Scrooge's nephew. "But you don't celebrate it."
"Let me leave it alone, then," said Scrooge.
Ebenezer Scrooge is a mean and miserable man with no friends. One cold Christmas Eve three ghosts visit him and take him on a frightening journey to show him what is wrong with his life.
Can Scrooge change and learn to become a better person?
My favorite part of this book is last scene. He gave Bob big prize turkey and him payment higher. At first, I was worried whether Bob would quit his job and leave him. If Bob did so, Scrooge's mind should be more perverse.
I was happy to get along with all people finally.
This is final Literature Circle. I was a Summarizer. First and second time I was summarized, I just do it and read a manuscript I made. However, second Literature Circle, my group member prepared some quiz and PowerPoint document. I respected them, because I also prepared some quiz in final Literature Circle. That was the best Literature Circle!!
