Outline
When Tim was traveling to Cairo by train, he sat beside a woman called Maria and her brother called Felix. The events started when he sat beside them and saw Maria was wearing a wonderful golden bracelet with a cobra mark that carried the name of Cleopatra which attracted his attention. Tim asked about the bracelet, which was a piece of the treasures Maria and Felix’s family had kept for a long time.
After he went to their house to know more about the treasure, he met with their father and asked to see the treasure and Maria didn’t want him to see it, but her father refused her wish and showed him. Tim was surprised with Maria because she also did not want to him to take photographs, but her father allowed him to do this. However, he discovered his camera was broken, when he wanted to take photographs. He met with Maria in the garden after dinner at 10 o’clock after he saw the note under his dinner plate that told to him that he is in danger.
She wanted to leave town and she told Tim that there was a curse on the treasure and would kill him if he told the whole world he found it, but Tim didn’t believe her and he spoke to the whole world about the treasure of Cleopatra’s tomb and became famous.
Cairo police captured Tim because he did prohibited research without having a license from the government. And the truth appeared that Felix, Maria and their father are criminals, they stole the treasure. They used Tim to make the world know that the treasure was found and then they could gain money with it by selling it.
Impression
I thought this book is decent. There were some interesting parts, and the composition was polite and I had fun to read. However, there were also mysterious parts. I'm not sure about Maria and Felix, for example, when Tim, Maria and Felix go to Alexandria, Felix kicked a cat and a dog. I couldn't understand why did he do that. The last illustration was shocking and interesting, I want you to read this book!
